Out of the Fog of 2025 into the Sun of 2026

HSC Racers lead the way in 2026!

Leading the way, but, slowly.

Hello Racers,

 Thankfully the forecast was wrong and we did get some wind but that fog was something else….being unable to see the windward mark at the start was a new challenge.  The light wind and no waves favoured our boat and we came away with the win this time.  Huge thanks to my wife & crew Jungmi for absolutely perfect spin hoists and douses all day.  

You can fly a spinnaker in the fog.

A very big welcome to Adrian and kudos to Grant for taking on new crew in an unfamiliar boat. BTW, due to how the software works, crew names are not shown on the regatta results page however they will be shown on the season standings page once I update it.

Thank-you to our Race Committee, Benji, Landon and Cyrus for running the races and dealing with the engine and fog issues (ugh).

Hope everyone had a great time and very much appreciate you coming out and supporting club racing.  As always let me know if there is anything we can do to make it better.  One thing we’ll be doing when the season really gets going in April is to set triangle courses instead of windward/lewards due to requests for something fresh.  Get onto the Racing list! Our Fleet Captain, Travis, will be sending out the season fleet schedule very soon.  We are planning to attend several non-HSC regattas/races this year, many of which are in the bay and we can just sail over or get a tow.  Hope you can join us!  Happy to assist with any logistical challenges.
