Club cleans up. Oct 22 Written By Hollyburn Sailing Club Vice Commodore Trevor working on the kitchen…the fridge needs to be replaced. Our Commodore removes the non-working fridge. Rear Commodore Nick cleans out the North East closet. Our members look happy before they start cleaning out the North West closet. Hard to believe how much stuff there was in the North West closet…We now need more members to sort out the stuff and decide what to keep and what to toss. The sailing school instructor’s closet gets a good going-over too. The yard cleaning crew arrives, broom in bike (hand?) Broom in action…the entire yard was swept clean! Thanks to members for a “clean sweep” Where does all that sand come from anyways? Collecting the spoils. Sand back to the beach, leaves to the compost. If you do not have garden loppers to trim the plants, bolt cutters will do!!! The top of the ramp space gets a going-over too. Thanks Don. Jacob gives the ramp a power washing…racing the tide up the ramp. Members discussing the sand removal plan. Yard crew finishing up. Throughout the day and around the other members, our '“white washer” painted. Himmm…how are we going to organize this mess??? I guess that we will start in the back and work our way forward. The downstairs workshops got a good going over too. Things should stay organized for a day or two. Our equipment got some cleaning too. hard to vacuum with a dirty filter. Sorting and organizing the workshops. The alley gets a going-over too…Not too bad, thanks race team. Rear Commodore Nick is very pleased with the results of the yard clean-up Commodore Cameron thanks all of the members who came out to give the club its Fall cleaning. Thanks to Vice Commodore Trevor for organizing the job board and to our Staff Captain Emily for the coffee and treats. Hollyburn Sailing Club
