The club has a number of communal sailing boats and kayaks that are available for the exclusive use of co-op members. To become a co-op member, the associated co-op fees are payable (in addition to all of the other applicable membership dues), and the other eligibility criteria met.
The goal of the co-op program is to promote sailing and
kayaking by allowing members to use a variety of watercraft. All the boats are
easily rigged and can be rolled down to the water on dollies.
Co-op members must satisfy the HSC Co-op Captain of their sailing/paddling proficiency
before being permitted to use the club's boats.
The Co-op boats are owned by the club and maintained by co-op members. Co-op annual fees cover the associated costs.
Co-op members must be 19 years of age or older to use the club's boats. Guests under this age may accompany the co-op member on the same boat. Co-op members shall accept full responsibility for the safety of all guests while using the club's boats.

The club provides co-op kayakers with the boats as well as the necessary safety equipment that is required for sea kayaking. The following kayaks are available to co-op members:
- 1 Single Kevlar Kayak (Necky Arluk III)
- 4 Single Plastic Kayaks (Necky Kyook)
- 1 Double Fibreglass Kayak (Necky Nootka)
