Youth & Adult Sailing/Kayaking Programs
Marine safety, boating skills, leadership, teamwork, and nature & eco-awareness are taught through our Training Courses. The HSC Sailing School has produced many thousands of proficient boaters in our community through these positive programs.
Community Events
HSC makes its clubhouse and facilities available for various community meetings, and also participates in and contributes to many community events each year. These include the West Vancouver Community Parade, the Duck Race fundraisers, Rotary fundraiser events, public Municipal forums, School events, and the Chain & Anchor Club weekly social meetings.
NORVAN Power and Sail Squadron
Because of our common interest in boating in general, and boating safety in particular, the club provides classroom space to the NORVAN Squadron for classes, and also makes the club facilities available for several social events through the year. The NORVAN Squadron has responded in kind, for example, by providing spaces in their VHF Course at no charge to HSC members.

West Vancouver Police and Fire-fighting Departments
The West Vancouver Firefighters and the West Vancouver Police use the club's facilities. They have keys to the clubhouse and access to one of the club's inflatable boats for use in emergencies. The WVPD are given free access to the club for social events during the year, and make bookings through the regular process.
